Shopper's Protection Insurance

Most credit card insurance policies will cover you if you can’t work due to sickness or injury, if you lose your job unexpectedly, or if you die. It’s important to protect your finances in case of the unexpected. But Shopper’s Protection gives you all this and more, by also protecting the things you buy, wherever you use your credit card. It does this in two ways with Merchandise Protection and Price Protection.

Merchandise protection

There’s no feeling quite like the “I’ve bought something new” feeling. 28 Degrees helps you keep that feeling for longer. Merchandise Protection covers the things you buy on your card against loss, theft or damage for up to 6 months after the purchase date. Here’s how our Merchandise Protection insurance works:

Price Protection

With Price Protection, it’s just another reason to smile. Price Protection means you don’t miss out on the sale price. If you buy something on your card in Australia and it’s reduced in price in the same store (or one at another location) anytime in the first 6 months after you buy it, we’ll pay the price difference back on your card. Here's how our Price Protection insurance works:

Affordable Protection

It costs to be covered, but it doesn’t cost a fortune.

Shopper’s Protection insurance premiums are calculated each month at 0.5% of the monthly closing account balance of your 28 Degrees MasterCard. (For example, if your closing balance is $2,000, your Shopper’s Protection insurance premium for that month will be $10.)

You’ll see the premium on your statement. It’s automatically debited to your card account, so you don’t need to pay any extra bills.
